Brooklyn Nine-Nine

This show has only needs two words to make it show awesome, Andy Samberg. Andy Samberg plays Jake Peralta, a carefree detective with best arrest record in Brooklyn. His behavior is mostly punishment free, but that all changes when Capt. Ray Holt becomes the head commander of the 99th and reminds Jake to respect the badge. Throughout the show we see them track down and capture thugs, murderers, bank robbers, sex offenders, the hole nine yards. Being an action comedy we are treated with both, but this show is definitely more on the more goofy side with plenty of gut busting scenes. which makes this show kinda hard to take seriously, but who could when it has Andy Samberg as the main role. Other characters in the 99  include Detective Amy Santiago, Sgt. Terry Jeffords, a devoted family man, Detective Charles Boyle, a hard worker who idolizes Jake, and Rosa Diaz, a sexy-yet-intimidating detective. Civilian office manager Gina Linetti is tasked with cleaning up everyone's mess, while somehow getting involved in everyone's business, and she is one of the characters that you will either love or hate.

l love this show because it takes the serious crime drama feel and turns it into awesome ride of action and comedy that blends into one great TV show. I personally have no idea if you're even a fan of the crime action comedy genera. If you're not, you will still enjoy this show because it doesn't just rely on the cop aspect. Although you seem to see many of the action comedy buddy cop, crime shows and movies, this is one that is well deserved to be remembered as one of the best.

Rick and Morty

Directed by Dan Harmon, Rick and Morty is what you would expect an R rated 'Back to the Future' on steroids to be like. With a lot more of violence, huge amounts of profanity, alternate dimensions, other worlds, lots of crazy drugs, lots of alcohol, and alien porn. The show is about the misadventures of alcoholic scientist Rick and his easily influenced grandson Morty, who split their time between domestic family life and interdimensional travel. As the show progresses you see the bond between them grow, and then they're the times that it completely falls down the drain. Whatever it maybe you will love it. You get to see the insanity of Rick thought the show, as well as Morty's stupidity. Weather its when Rick and Morty destroy and mutate all of Earth, forcing them to find a new reality, when Morty impregnates a f***-bot who gives birth to a demon child, or even when Rick create an entire universe, just to power his car battery and then that universe creates another universe to power their own universe, which in turn creates their OWN universe to power their universe and so on. Trust me, you will enjoy every second of it. The show doesn't just focus on Rick and Morty, but their family as well. As you see Morty's parents failing marriage and when they go to the best marriage counselors in the universe and proceed to destroy the place. Also when their dog develops a red hot hatred for human and creates a race of hyper intelligent and all powerful dog people.

I love this show, it is great to watch pretty much whenever. Because there is barely any story line you can watch episode after episode without getting bored. If you are into crazy drunk adventures through space and time you will love this show, as well as the weird and crazy concepts that will make you think about the actual concept of life...like the Matrix, only way weirder. My closing statement for this blog is just WATCH THIS SHOW IN THE NAME OF GOD!

Review for Weeds

Weeds follows a suburban mom (Nancy Botwin) turned pot dealer in order to maintain her privileged lifestyle after her husband dies from a sudden heart attack. The first three seasons primary take place in Agrestic, CA. During season 4 and 5 they reside in the fictional town Ren Mar, San Diego. In the sixth season they relocate to Seattle Washington and Dearborn Michigan. In between season 6 and 7, Nancy serves a prison sentence while her sons and brother-in-law live in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the beginning of season 7, Nancy is out into a halfway house where she reunites her family and starts her drug operation again. They live in Manhattan for they duration of the season, but move to Connecticut near the finally and the whole of season 8. I will add that the reason they move so much throughout the show is because they are either running from cops, drug lords, crazy people out for revenge, or just looking for the next best place to sell drugs.

Jenji Kohan brings a great look at the typical dark drug based TV show. Bringing comedy into the mix works for the better allowing you to watch episode after episode without losing interest, because to much drama or boring story. Although with the comedy we see plenty of violence and drama giving it a seriousness that is impossible to ignore. As the story progresses you get more in-depth with each character drawing you into the story, with great performances from Mary-Louise Parker (Nancy Botwin) Alexander Gould (Shane Botwin) Hunter Parrish (Silas Botwin) Justin Kirk (Andy Botwin) and many more from either supporting or side characters. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of characters that are complete a-holes, such as Celia Hodes played by Elisabeth Perkins, who i guaranty you will hate by the end of the first season. A quick warning, if you plan on watching this show, be prepared to binge watch. Because after one episode you will be hooked.
